goHunterdon is pleased to announce the launch of Air Aware, our new community outdoor air quality education program!
The transportation sector accounts for 37 percent of the New Jersey’s net greenhouse gas emissions, making it the largest emissions source in the state, according to the NJ Department of Environmental Protection.
Air Aware explores the connection between transportation and the air we breathe.
The program is designed for students in grades 4-9 as well as community groups of all ages. Air Aware offers engaging educational lessons, hands-on awareness activities, and opportunities for community action to improve outdoor air quality.
This program is offered free of charge.
Trained goHunterdon staff are available to present lessons in classrooms, after school clubs, for Green Teams, or in community settings.
