Be a part of the process! The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) is updating its Long Range Transportation Plan, called Connecting Communities.
This plan will set a vision for the future of transportation in the region and identify priority projects. The plan makes the region eligible for federal transportation funding. NJTPA staff are studying current trends and using computer models to predict changes up to the year 2050. This analysis will help shape the updated plan. The NJTPA Board is expected to adopt the plan in September 2025.
NJTPA is seeking public participation into the development of Connecting Communities to learn what transportation issues and priorities are most important to those within the North Jersey region, which includes Hunterdon County.
The input you provide through a short online survey and by participating in events will help NJTPA shape the future of transportation in our region. Learn more about opportunities for sharing your input on the NJTPA Connecting Communities website: https://connecting-communities-njtpa.hub.arcgis.com/pages/get-involved
