New Jersey law, N.J.S.A. 39:4-26, requires that motorists “Stop and Stay Stopped” for pedestrians in marked crosswalks. A sign program provided by goHunterdon to local municipalities helps to keep this law highly visible to motorists traveling in Hunterdon’s walkable communities. The City of Lambertville has partnered with goHunterdon to conduct a “Street Smart NJ” campaign, a pedestrian safety education program aimed at reducing pedestrian-motor vehicles crashes. Is your business a NJ Smart Workplace? goHunterdon is currently accepting nominations from Hunterdon employers to be considered for recognition through the statewide “NJ Smart Workplaces” program. The program honors companies for outstanding achievements in implementing programs that provide and promote commuting alternatives for their employees.
